SUMMER HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES: It’s non-stop summer fun activities in nursery, for our ‘all year round’ children. As our children are already into summer holiday mode, we’re making the most of the summer weather, enjoying safe outdoor play, as much as possible.
All care rooms are already being super messy and creative! The team will be as always working very hard to recreating a theme of each week, so our children can immerse themselves in play, during this holiday time. The first week kicks off with ‘Pirate week’, The room will be created into a pirate ship with costumes and walk plank with water play! Week 2 is ‘Space and science week’ – a rocket ship created for the children to travel in space, visiting the planets! They will also be doing experiments - Lots of mixing and measuring! ‘ABC Food and Drink festival’ is week 3 – Lots of stalls set up around the room but the best is making and eating different types of food for the week! We then ROAR into week 4 – ‘Dinosaur week!’ This is a good one! We go back in time to create dinosaur world in nursery – there will be fossil hunting, tracking down dinosaurs using their giant feet and so much more! Week 5 theme is ‘Knights and Princesses week’, where the children will be battling dragons at the huge castle dressed up in costumes! They will be designing and making their coat of arms and royal crowns. We end the summer holiday with ‘Party week!’ This is a week not to miss – every day with be a different theme full of dancing, games, messy play etc. – (Monday- closed), Tuesday is Crazy Hair Day, Wednesday is Colour Party Day, Thursday is Super hero Day and to end a fun summer holiday is Pyjama Day on Friday! Under twos’ room will follow the same plan but on different weeks. All rooms will do Party week!

GOODBYE & GOOD LUCK:- To Tracy from the Under two’s room who leaves us to take her next step in her career working in a pre-school that links to a school. We wish you all the very best of luck. Our Foundation children leaving us this month, to start full-time school in September; Henry, Lacey, Elizabeth, Blossom, Darcie, Hattie, Theo, Xander, Naiziah, Ollie, Tayyab and Arthur. Thank you for helping make our nursery such a fun place, we’ll miss you all very much and hope your time with ABC has prepared you well for school. Don’t forget to visit or send photos in your new uniforms!!
EFG’S HOLIDAY CLUB:- has started and being run by our club team from the St. John’s Scout Hall across the road. All children between the ages of four and eleven are cared for and entertained with age-appropriate activities. We have availability for the summer holidays, full days are £36.00 per child per session and half days are £24.00 per child, per session. For more information, please contact us.

AUTUMN TERM FUNDING:- Starts on Monday, 2nd September, when the 14 weeks of Nursery Education Funding for eligible 9 months, 2 year old’s and all 3 & 4 year old’s attending funded only sessions. All children, from the term, immediately following their third birthday are entitled to 15 hours funding per week, during term time. However, do check, you may be eligible for 30 hours!!!.
15 HOURS FUNDING FOR 9 MONTH OLD’S: - If you haven’t checked your eligibility yet for this new funding for September’s entitlement, DON’T DELAY! To qualify for the new term in September, you need to apply and be issued with your personal code by 31st August, for this Autumn’s funding. Otherwise, it will be January before you can use it. Go to the government website; childcarechoices.gov.uk for further information. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for 15 hours funding. This website also has information on 2, 3 & 4-year-old funding, tax-free childcare etc.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY:- In the Pre-school room; Zachary & Jacob-Lee are three and foundation room we have Tayyab and Arthur who turn 4 years old. Happy Birthday!
